With so many Savannah natives in our little company, March is one of our favorite months of the year! St. Patrick’s Day in Savannah is ranked in the top 10 best St. Patrick’s Days in the world! So naturally, when asked to work on any event related to the day, we are jumping at the bits! Here are a few of our favorite St. Patrick’s Day traditions!

The celebrations begin with the March of Dimes Shamrock Run. If you are like some of us, there is no way a 5k run sounds fun but this one is one for the books! Over 1,400 people come out to beautiful Ellis square, dressed in their best green to run through beautiful downtown Savannah. Tara Feis is the next big St. Patrick’s Day celebration, and one of my all time favorites! The celebration is the best way to get in touch with your Irish roots without all of the craziness from the parade!

And finally, the Budweiser Clydesdales! This one really pulls out the inner child in all of us! The Clydesdales come for about two weeks in March making stops at the Hilton Head St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the Tybee St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and the biggest of them all, the Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade!

We hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend celebrating their Irish roots!
